Wal-Mart finds opportunity in Latin America

Wal-Mart is taking advantage of its solid performance in Mexico and Brazil by moving on to the rest of Latin America. The global economic downturn has forced most retailers to alter their business models, but it has helped the discount retailer. To capitalise on its position, Wal-Mart is planning to open stores in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Puerto Rico this year.
