Changes mulled over for Quebec school boards, university tuition

Quebec officials are considering changes to local school boards -- aimed at increasing their effectiveness and accountability. "We need to reassert the value of education in Quebec, and that can be done through school boards because they are the ones providing the services," said Quebec Education Minister Michelle Courchesne. Officials are also expected to increase tuition at Quebec universities, but the amount will likely not be known until the fall.
