"Perfect" climate-change bill not necessary, Chu says

It is better to act now on climate-change legislation "rather than wait around for a perfect bill that might be delayed for four or five years," said Steven Chu, secretary of the Department of Energy. In an interview published Tuesday in The Washington Post, Chu said the Clean Air Act started slowly, but ended up costing less than anticipated. "Once you get it going and start making progress, very clever people start to dream up better solutions," Chu added.
