Retail, other uses eyed for soon-to-be-demolished Texas Stadium site

With Texas Stadium set to be demolished next month, developers and urban planners are thinking about new uses for the Irving, Texas, site. Forest City's Jim Truitt suggests a large hotel, an entertainment venue or a medical campus as possibilities. City officials are leaning toward condominium towers. Retail also is a likely component as Tanger Factory Outlet Centers has an option to buy 40 acres there.
