RFA criticizes environmental group's anti-ethanol report

The National Wildlife Federation's report that calls for ending the tax incentives and other federal policies that support corn ethanol is "disappointing," according to Matt Hartwig, director of public affairs at the Renewable Fuels Association. It is unfortunate that "many in the environmental movement choose to rely on disproven theories and partnerships with the oil lobby to mislead and misrepresent what American ethanol production is all about," Hartwig said. The development of next-generation biofuels will be hindered if the corn-ethanol industry is undermined, Hartwig added.
