Senator still hopes to limit role of banks in derivatives market

Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, is backing legislation that focuses on possible conflicts of interest in the massive derivatives market by seeking to limit banks' dominance. Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., did not include Brown's measure in legislation to overhaul financial regulations, but industry insiders say they expect it to resurface.
