Supreme Court rejects decision on mutual fund fees

The Supreme Court rejected a ruling by a lower court that would limit the ability of investors to hold mutual fund managers liable for excessive fees. Instead, justices decided to maintain a legal standard that has been used to decide when fund fees should be deemed excessive. "The Supreme Court decision is welcome news for mutual fund investors, who can continue challenging fund fees they believe to be excessive," a representative of the Securities and Exchange Commission said.
