Edwards to unveil study data on its aortic valve at cardiology meeting

The American College of Cardiology's annual meeting, set to start on Saturday, is expected to feature a study comparing outcomes of patients who received Edwards Lifesciences' Sapien transcatheter heart valve and those who underwent open-heart surgery. Safety and effectiveness studies of heart stents and blood thinners also are expected to be presented at the four-day meeting.
