Online registry for fracking chemicals to launch this month

An online registry of the chemicals that natural gas drillers use for hydraulic fracturing "will go live in the second week of April," said Mike Nickolaus, special projects director at the Ground Water Protection Council. The registry is part of a website formed by a partnership between the GWPC and the Interstate Oil & Gas Compact Commission. About 75 exploration and production companies have volunteered for the registry program.
