Cordless, electric mowers proposed for Calif. city school district

A shift from gasoline-powered lawn mowers to cordless, electric models has been proposed for the South Pasadena Unified School District in California. City Councilman Michael Cacciotti said that the change could reduce the pollution from gasoline-powered mowers and improve the health of students, teachers and people who live near school properties. Joel Shapiro, the district's superintendent, said he would study the proposal.
