Suicide-related overdoses with alcohol on the rise in young adults

The number of teens and young adults attempting suicide via drug overdose dropped between 1999 and 2008, but the addition of alcohol in overdoses became more prevalent, according to a study in the journal Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior. For teens and young adults, the most common drugs in overdoses were over-the-counter pain medications.
