A combination of domestic consumption, investment and government spending should power Thailand's economy to 5.3% growth this year, the Finance Ministry's Fiscal Policy Office now estimates. FPO Director Somchai Sujjapong dismissed suggestions of any kind of economic bubble developing but did express concern over the value of the Thai currency, which is gaining ground on the currencies of regional competitors.
