Signing bonuses, relocation assistance and student loan forgiveness are among the recruiting tools Sanford Health in Fargo, N.D., uses to hire new nurses. An aging population, an aging nursing workforce and an expansion of medical services have led to aggressive recruiting efforts by health care facilities, as the area could need 18,000 registered nurses by 2021.
