How losing "Law & Order" launched the new A+E Networks

A+E Networks, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, was launched into its current era of programming after it didn't renew a syndication deal for "Law & Order," CEO Nancy Dubuc explains. "Losing that deal was the best thing that ever happened to our company. Our creativity kicked in and we started creating brand-defining scripted and nonfiction series," she says.
