R.I. residency program grads get early nursing job offers

About two-thirds of the students in Rhode Island's first residency program for registered nurses have been offered full-time jobs before graduation, says Michael Paruta, director of workforce development at Care New England Health System. The first Passport to Practice class has 19 nurses, and Paruta said he was surprised by the number of early job offers.
