New York group to woo successful principals from other districts

The privately financed New York City Leadership Academy has budgeted $2.2 million over the next three years to recruit and train 40 principals to lead city schools. The Academy plans to offer signing bonuses and pay for moving expenses to attract veteran administrators from other districts, particularly those who have successfully turned around troubled schools in other cities.
