Health care group calls for nursing shortage hearings

The Council on Physician and Nurse Supply, comprised of health care professionals, is urging the Bush administration to hold hearings on the nursing shortage. The group says the U.S. should re-examine how nurses and doctors are educated to ensure an adequate supply of medical professionals, especially in areas such as geriatrics.
