Many S.D. districts want access to technical high school

Several South Dakota districts are clamoring to send students to a technical high school where they can get career training in nursing, auto repair, construction, business and perhaps culinary arts, says Pam Homan, superintendent of Sioux Falls schools, whose plans to open such a school in two years have piqued the interested of nearby districts. "We don't have those advanced courses, which we want to get to," said Dean Jones, superintendent of a district that hopes to participate.
