Obese teens show heart improvement with weight-loss surgery

A new study found that severely obese teenagers who undergo weight-loss surgery experience substantial improvements in heart function and the reversal of heart abnormalities. "This might be an argument for earlier intervention at younger ages in severely obese young people," researchers said.
