Prices for construction materials expected to continue rise in '08

The cost of building materials is expected to increase by 6% to 8% in 2008, and diesel fuel prices will remain "well above" last year's prices, according to the Associated General Contractors. While prices for steel, concrete and copper are expected to rise, gypsum, used in wallboard, is expected to fall in price by 10% to 20%.
