Column: Last-minute bargains unlikely for summer travel

With demand expected to increase amid sharp cuts in capacity, last-minute fares could be significantly higher than advance-purchase deals, he says. "Bookings for April and May have been running stronger, and that may bode well for airlines hoping to actually make some money this summer," McCartney writes.
