FAA expects passenger numbers to decline by 9% this year

The Federal Aviation Administration's 2009 projections, which are similar to the grim outlook by airlines, forecasts a 9% drop in passengers on U.S. airlines for domestic flights as well as a decline on international flights. The FAA expects traffic to increase again next year.
