Pregnancy complications raise stroke risk for offspring

A study found adult children of women who had preeclampsia during pregnancy had a 1.9 times higher stroke risk, while those whose mothers had gestational hypertension had a 1.4 times higher risk. Researchers said neither of the pregnancy complications were tied to heart disease in adult offspring.
