Simple four-step plan better for managing patient BP

A simple four-step algorithm helps family medical providers better control their patients' blood pressure, researchers found. The plan uses low-dose fixed combination therapies rather than the more complex standard guidelines. The Simplified Treatment Intervention to Control Hypertension or STITCH algorithm resulted in a 20% increase in the number of patients achieving blood pressure goals.
