Architects design underground arts venue for Boston subway tunnel

An abandoned subway tunnel in Boston will become home to a bustling art gallery, theater and events space if a pair of architects have their way. Sapir Ng, an associate at Boston architecture firm Tsoi/Kobus & Associates, and Andrzej Zarzycki, a former TK&A architect now teaching at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, received the top award for the plans they presented to SHIFTboston, a nonprofit organization aimed at fostering creativity in urban planning.
