Honing practical skills may help adults with ADHD

Teaching time management, planning and organizational skills to adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder may improve their inattention symptoms, according to a study published in the American Journal of Psychiatry. This type of therapy -- called meta-cognitive therapy -- is not widely available, but early research suggests that it may help adults with ADHD to perform daily tasks.
