New Jersey lawmakers to hold public hearing on sports betting

A New Jersey Senate committee will hold a public hearing in Atlantic City on legalizing sports betting in the state. The bill would ask voters to approve a constitutional amendment to allow sports betting in casinos, online or by telephone. "Legal sports wagering could be a tool to help in Atlantic City's economic revival," said state Sen. Raymond J. Lesniak, the bill's co-sponsor.
