Striking a proper work-life balance varies according to personal circumstances, but in every case it requires a willingness to set boundaries. That may mean taking time away from electronic devices and negotiating the ability to work from home on occasion. "Focus on the things that are important to you, and don't do the extraneous stuff," said Jody Miller of Business Talent Group. "It's a discipline that doesn't come too naturally to most of us."
