Good wellness plans consider company finances, expert says

Companies can contract with wellness providers or design their own wellness program around the needs of employees, but they also must take into account their finances to ensure plans reduce health care costs, according to HealthLink's Mark Haegele. Employers should look for specific savings areas, such as specialty pharmacy, he said, and work with their health care consultants on wellness plan design, including where to focus their finances.
