Ind. county to pilot HIT initiative to enhance disease reporting

The St. Joseph County Health Department in Indiana is piloting an initiative with the Michiana Health Information Network that aims to boost the reporting and handling of communicable diseases by public health nurses on the state and local levels. Data sharing with MHIN has enhanced the health department's workflow and time management, officials said in a news release.
