Follow-up care after chest pain cuts heart attack risk

After visiting the emergency department for chest pain, the risk of heart attack or death within a year was lower in high-risk patients who followed up with either a cardiologist or a primary care provider compared with those who did not seek additional care, researchers report in the journal Circulation.
