Tablets beat smartphones for some mobile campaigns

Mobile branding campaigns are more effective on tablets than on smartphones, according to an Adfonic study, with ads yielding 250% higher click-thru rates when viewed on tablets rather than smartphones. Tablets are grabbing a bigger slice of the mobile pie, the study found, cornering 14% of all mobile ads in Q4 2012, compared with 9% two quarters earlier.
