ACA enrollments likely reached 7 million on deadline day

The surge of Americans signing up for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act on Monday was on pace to bring enrollment during the first open enrollment period to 7 million. A special enrollment period begins today for people who attempted to beat the deadline but were unsuccessful. The enrollment was "on track" to reach 7 million, according to two sources cited by The Associated Press. The Obama administration said software glitches that put HealthCare.gov offline for several hours had to be fixed on Monday.
