Toshiba has announced it will combine all of its health care businesses into one entity, known as the Healthcare Company. The decision is part of Toshiba's plan to earn $6 billion in health care revenue by fiscal 2015. The Healthcare Company will have three main areas of focus: prevention; diagnosis and treatment; and convalescence and nursing care. The company's imaging unit, Toshiba Medical Systems, will be positioned as a subsidiary of the Healthcare Company.
