In big revenue push, Toshiba consolidates health care operations

Toshiba has announced it will combine all of its health care businesses into one entity, known as the Healthcare Company. The decision is part of Toshiba's plan to earn $6 billion in health care revenue by fiscal 2015. The Healthcare Company will have three main areas of focus: prevention; diagnosis and treatment; and convalescence and nursing care. The company's imaging unit, Toshiba Medical Systems, will be positioned as a subsidiary of the Healthcare Company.
