Grifols secures $375 million partnership with Japanese Red Cross Society

Grifols has signed a seven-year, $375 million contract with the Japanese Red Cross Society to conduct analyses of about 5.3 million blood donations each year. Grifols will supply its Procleix Panther System and related tests to screen for HIV and hepatitis. Hologic, which helped develop the system, could receive about $195 million in revenue through the life of the contract.
