Ireland saw $117.2M in Q1 hotel transactions

Hotel sales in Ireland reached a total of $117.2 million during the first quarter, up 150% compared to the same period last year, property firm Savills reports. Major sales during the period included Donald Trump's purchase of the Doonbeg Golf Resort in County Clare for more than $20 million and the $41.4 million acquisition of the Hilton Hotel Dublin. Tom Barrett, head of hotels at Savills, said the company predicts hotel sales this year will exceed $413 million.
