Chicago Mentors Teach Kids About Building

In an effort to attract students to building-related careers, a group of suburban Chicago professionals is mentoring high school students, a support says. About 100 students are involved with the program. They're meeting with architects, mechanical engineers, civil engineers and contractors, taking tours and hearing presentations. They are also building a fictional fire station that requires them to address every aspect of construction.
