Ohio Textbook Science Panel Drops Intelligent Design

The second draft of the state's science standards mentions only natural selection as the origin of life, leaving out any mention of intelligent design. Ohio has been the site of a raging debate over evolution and intelligent design -- a theory that holds that life is far too complex simply to have evolved and must have been created by some being.
