Missouri contractors worry about blacklisting on public bids

Contractors in Springfield, Mo., say they're concerned that some companies bidding on public contracts operate with blacklists against certain contractors, and that even if bids are accepted, some subcontractors are rejected due to the blacklisting. The fears have only escalated since 2004, when Springfield Public Schools confirmed the existence of blacklisting under program manager LeNir Ltd.
