Chemical found in blood of DuPont workers in Delaware

Workers at two DuPont plants in Delaware have blood levels of the chemical PFOA that are far higher than the general public, according to documents the company submitted to the EPA. The levels were reported among workers at DuPont's Experimental Station near Wilmington and a DuPont Performance Elastomers plant in Newark. A DuPont spokesman said that the samples are "on the lower end" of exposure and that industry studies have shown no health effects from PFOA exposure.
