Gates Foundation to market its messages on cable

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which has worked behind the scenes on some popular network-TV shows to shape scripts to suit the organization's goals, now is bringing its mission to cable. The high-profile foundation has worked out a deal with Viacom to plant its messages within shows on networks such as MTV, VH1, BET and Nickelodeon.
