Bonnie's Hometown Grocery is an oasis in Minn. food desert

Bonnie Carlson, owner of Bonnie's Hometown Grocery in rural Clinton, Minn., said, "The town would go kaput, I think, if we didn't have a store here." As in other food deserts, residents must drive out of town to a supermarket, but Carlson's small store helps fill the gap, selling fresh meat, dairy products and produce.
