LightSquared faces new default as FCC begins license review

LightSquared has two months to pay Inmarsat $29.6 million after the company's second default over its deal to license spectrum, according an Inmarsat legal filing. The Federal Communications Commission will officially begin its review of LightSquared's plan to build a national satellite-based wireless network now that the public comment period has closed. The agency, which is not expected to hurry its decision, has already stated its reluctance to approve the license due to concerns over interference with GPS navigational systems.
