Medical school forms HIT center to study clinical care, safety

The Weill Cornell Medical College has formed a center to research the effect of IT on patient care quality, provider and patient satisfaction, and clinical safety. The Center for Healthcare Informatics and Policy, which will be led by Dr. Rainu Kaushal, is also tasked with studying treatment and payment approaches such as accountable care organizations and medical home models.
