Mo. nursing home patients, families happy with care, survey shows

A survey of residents and family members at about 200 Missouri long-term care facilities found most were satisfied with the care provided, according to researchers at the University of Missouri's Sinclair School of Nursing. Researcher Marcia Flesner, a registered nurse, said nursing homes have changed their approach to care, and the survey found allowing residents to make their own schedules and giving them private rooms and bathrooms were popular policy decisions.
