REITs, other investors eye rich yields of foreclosure-to-rental market

REITs and private-equity investors are stepping up investments in the foreclosure-to-rental market -- that is, they are buying single-family homes in foreclosure and then renting them, often to the former owners. Their reason for entering this niche is the rich yields, which can be as high as 8% to 9%.
