The world will get smaller as machine translators evolve

Dennis Draeger writes in Innovation Management that the explosion of translation technology will fundamentally change the language services industry, as well as the way international business and politics are conducted. Human translators always will be needed to edit the machine translators and to ensure accuracy during sensitive discussions, he writes. Technology, such as the voice translator Microsoft has developed, however will allow people to interact across the language barrier in a more personal way, he writes.
