Lockheed Martin is planning a line of robotic exoskeletons that could help U.S. troops lug heavy packs and weapon systems over long distances without tiring. The bionic technology could also help industrial workers to handle heavy machinery or allow paraplegics to walk again. "We're now seeing a golden age in which we can produce this technology and derive benefit from it," says Keith Maxwell, the project's business-development manager. "There's a host of industries where this works."
