Demand jumps for U.S. visa for skilled workers

Immigration offices have been hit with the largest application increase in five years for the temporary H-1B visa. For the first time since 2008, the government might have to hold a lottery for the program, which provides visas to highly skilled workers. The surge comes as senators work on immigration reform.
