The world's largest jet engine is also the most energy-efficient wide-body engine now in service. One key to energy savings for the GE90-115B is its new ceramic matrix composite material, which accounts for up to 10% better fuel economy as the 115B churns out more than 57,000 kilogram-force of thrust.
